LoDan employs a Flexible Manufacturing strategy to support even the most dynamic customer scheduling requirements. LoDan's manufacturing group is organized into three Strategic Business Units (SBU's).

  • Coax Assembly: produces RF cable assemblies and Heliax assemblies. Produces lowest loss, highest shield assemblies with customized bends.
  • General Assembly: produces various signal and power cable assemblies and wire harnesses.
  • Contract Manufacturing: focuses on box builds (chassis), fan assemblies, and sub-assemblies.


LoDan uses a "Cell Type" manufacturing process to ship more than 5.5 million items annually. The "Capabilities" chart lists the processes and test capabilities that are utilized. The workforce is cross-trained to obtain maximum flexibility by moving personnel within the SBU's as demand fluctuates.

The LoDan team has always believed in using the latest technology to drive productivity. LoDan incorporates T-1 facilities to interface electronically with customers, sales field representatives, and suppliers. A Local Area Network (LAN) system offers integrated connectivity with all functions to enable employees to improve efficiencies and enhance customer support. Sophisticated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is used for production and material planning. A significant number of customer orders are downloaded electronically. Bar Code technology is used throughout the manufacturing and material control processes to increase productivity and improve accuracy.
